Italian SLR

John wanted something Italian for his Cannondale restoration project. Referencing the Fizik Arione we decided to do the Selle Italia SLR up in the Italian flag.

Flite in Antique brown

The finishing touches to Henk Opgenoort's Baum in macadamia and copper put together by Fidder Consultancy in the Netherlands.

Aliante Two Tone

This Fizik Aliante in black kangaroo with vanilla cream and titanium grey detailing in the 'speedy dots' pattern. Matching tape with a gradation perforation pattern. For Stephen's Saffron.

Fizik Antares: Black with Blue

The Fizik Antares saddle, black kangaroo with three stripes of perforations in various sizes, spacing and colour seems to be happening a fair bit in my studio these days. More coming soon.

Bontrager Affinity RXL

A couple of saddles and a whole bunch of bar tape for two crazy guys in Mexico having custom Legend bikes built in Italy. Made in Melbourne; quite international really.

Bontrager RXL: Italian Style

Richard's Flite

Richard's Flite personalised with an embroidery of his name. It was an old Flite Gel with seams and patches all over the place. It took some resurfacing to get it the finish nice and smooth.

Koobi Xenon Saddle: Tri Tone Roo

Koobi Xenon saddle recovered following the original panelled design using vegetable tanned kangaroo leather. The textured centre panel is tough kangaroo tail, the pale colour is un-dyed and the mahogany is hand dyed along with the matching bar tape. Every seam painstakingly hand stitched - that is with a needle and thread not a sewing machine.

Fizik Arione R1

 Something significant happened in 1964 and embossed here on Kris' saddle is a reminder. The perforation patterns follow the original panelling design of the R1. Fine red perforations on black with matching bar tape.

Avocet X-Country - Yellow Bar Tape

A couple of firsts: The first Avocet X-Country saddle recovery for me and my first yellow leather handlebar tape. This set is for Will's new Chapman Cycles custom build and the yellow matches perfectly to his brake cable housing.

Rouleurs: Selle Italia Flite

 

Vegetable tanned and hand dyed leather; the finish is uneven which gives a nice start to the natural patina that is to come with use.
