Power Tree

 The new Baum Cycles tree logo in raised relief on this Power saddle for Daniel's new Orbis. Highlight colours are chrome orange and viper blue.

Power Shield Speedvagen

 S-Works Power saddle with matching bar tape for a Speedvagen 2022 Surprise Me paint scheme. The saddle perforation design takes reference from the Speedvagen shield logo and picks up the main colours of the frame: Berry, Hawtpink, Lavender and Army Green.

Whisky Whip Fizik Antares

For Josh's hand made custom steel Route 19 classic rim brake road bike. Kangaroo whip leather in whisky colour with perforations to match the deep green frame colour.

Sturdy Arione & Tundra

 For Richard I recently completed these two Fizik saddles in whiskey colour kangaroo whip leather with gold perforations. For a road bike and a mountain bike in titanium currently in fabrication at Sturdy Cycles in the UK. The perforated design, arranged in a concentric pattern around the Sturdy logo, highlights the gold colour that will be anodised on both frames.

Simple Acorn Power

 Back in January I had a visit from Ruedi and Abraham of Signature Cycles in Greenwich Connecticut. They brought with them a small piece of leather and a Power saddle for me to cover for one of their customers. Here it is, minimal compared to most of my work, using some acorn leather graciously provided by Carson of Leh Cycling Goods to match their acorn bar tape.

Fresh Leather for Regina's Speedvagen

With perforated detail in Speedvagen's light and dark army alongside bright gold I made some fresh black leather bar tape for Regina's Speedvagen horizon. I also made a new strap with stainless steel buckle for her old 2 piece saddle bag.

SMP F30c: Black on Black

For James a new model short F30c SMP saddle in black kangaroo leather with large perforations in a pattern that references some of the saddle contours.

Romin Grey Tessellations

 Simon had a grey Power saddle but much prefers the fit of his Specialized Romin Evo. So I took his old black Romin and recovered it in grey kangaroo leather with a perforated tessellation pattern to compliment his @supacaz bar tape.

Two More for Marty

Another grey saddle for Marty, this time a Selle San Marco Regale and a red Selle Italia Flite with grey stripe through the centre. 

Monards x Baum x Pro Stealth

Pro Stealth Superlight team issue saddle for Bernard's Baum Orbis with the text element of the Monards logo in classic Mondrian inspired primary colours show cased in Australian Hand Made Bicycle Show 2023 in Melbourne.

Ariones and SLRs: Speedvagens and a Baum

Twin brothers Hai and Ha in Texas have collected a few pre-loved bespoke custom bicycles and enjoy the project of reworking and restoring them to their own specifications. For their Speedvagens we have combined the classic unicorn shield logo with the other classic Ichico text in a few iterations with combinations of perforations and raised relief techniques. For Hai's Baum Cubano SLR the same techniques but not quite so busy.

Fizik Antares: Purple Bellé

For Remo's Bellé with impression of the Bellé logo extended through the centre flanked by grid perforations in Audi purple.

Fizik Aliante: Ichico in Dark Olive

For Stan's new Speedvagen with perforated Ichico text graphic detail. This Fizik Aliante 00 is wrapped in a dark olive green calf leather and is paired with matching bar tape. The perforations pick up the detail colours on the frame; silver, gold and orange.

Fizik Aliante VS: Carved IV

The fourth in a series of custom carved Fizik Aliante VS saddles for Ross. It's been fun experimenting with different patterns to account for the added surface area of the extracted section of padding. Ross carved out the foam himself and each of the four were slightly different in shape, placement and depth.

Specialized Power: Red & Blue Weave

Perforations in a chequered pattern with diagonal sections in fluoro red and pale dusty blue. The pattern takes reference from a woven carbon fibre tube and they way it reflects light. The colours are inspired by Anthony's very boldly coloured S-Works shoes. The saddle is S-Works Power 143mm in kangaroo leather. The coordinating bar tape is in a cow leather.

SLR Superflow Boost: Steve's Pegoretti

Here's a set of three pieces I made last year for Steve's Pegoretti. Selle Italia SLR Superflow Boost saddle, handlebar tape and an adjustable leather and Velcro frame pump strap.

Berk Ploh: Black and Blue

Recovering Darren's scratched up Berk Ploh in black kangaroo leather with muted blue perforations that follow the saddle curves. Matching bar tape and a set of the Busyman bar end caps.

For Jed in Port Fairy I just completed this SMP Well in kangaroo whiskey whip leather with army green perforated details. For Christmas he very happily received a nice new Baum Code.
