SLR: Whisky & Khaki for a Baum Orbis X

Whisky whip leather recovered Selle Italia SLR saddle with Baum's Nato Green showing through some perforated details. The saddle and matching bar tape will develop a rich patina with use. Justin's Orbis X is certainly a great looking bike. I particularly like the way the colour of the rear drive train cluster almost matches the frame.

My Busyman leatherwork in Brandy Whip leather for Andrew's Tobacco, Copper, Macadamia and Champagne Baum Orbis +. The whip kangaroo leather has a beautiful full grain natural feeling finish, with a waxy feel, is packed with oils and will patina to a deep deep brown in the main contact areas.

Selle Italia's Diva saddle presents plenty of complex 3D form to challenge the leatherworker with both pattern making and leather moulding. I really enjoy the challenge of perfecting the template patterns for complex shaped saddles. I try to find the balance between minimising seams and achieving the perfect fit for the saddle. Brandy kangaroo whip leather with perforated steel blue detailing. The set comprises Selle SMP Lite 209 and matching bar tape for Jeff's Baum Orbis, and s fairly large utility pouch to fit his jersey pocket. The pouch has capacity for plenty of tools, spare tube, big smart phone and of course keys, cash, cards and all that stuff.
