Melbourne Rapha Womens Prestige

It was a pleasure to be involved in the Melbourne's Rapha Womens Prestige a few weeks ago. Checkpoints along the route included my studio where very rider helped prepare the leather for this custom saddle and bar tape by punching some holes and adding some colour. They had come directly from Bastion Cycles workshop where each group mixed their team colour and splashed the paint all over the Bastion Frame and Curve forks and rims.

Fabric Scoop: Dark Horizons

Deep blue and green hues with a white diagonal band for this Fabric Scoop to be fitted atop a horizon painted Speedvagen. Bar tape: Three row offset, three colour perforations on black bovine leather.

Selle San Marco Regal: Natural Blue Colnago

For a Colnago restoration project by Service Course Cyclery. Natural vegetable tanned kangaroo leather saddle and cow leather bar tape with light metallic blue perforated detail. The perforated lines on the saddle are taken from the saddle details on my Kumo and suggest a reference to an old sprung mattress saddle. Over time the patina and tan colour should develop beautifully on these pieces.

Romin Evo S-Works: Doodle Monsters Wrap

After making this new leather cover and sending the saddle and tape back to Tim I learned he was having his frame and the underside of the saddle vinyl wrapped with a Sarah Lown Doodle Monsters print. Seen here on Tim's Instagram complete with the frame and vinyl.

SP-01: Bastion Cycles' Demon Project for Netherlands

It's an honour to be making custom leatherwork for Bastion Cycle's Demon Frameworks collaboration project bikes. This set comprises a recovered Selle Italia SP-01 saddle, Busyman two piece saddle bag and matching bar tape with gold and green to blue fade detailing on all.

Perforated and de-boss saddle with matching fade perforated bar tape for Chris of Mooro Cycles.

Space Fade: Aliante VS

Mooro Cycles are making titanium frames in Western Australia. The fade detail on the saddle and tape take reference from the anodised details on the frames.
